I have a confession to make. I can’t believe I have allowed this to happen. As you know, I’ve been talking about how busy I’ve been. Well, I have allowed my busyness to keep me from spending my quiet time with the Lord each morning as I should. I feel so miserable. I hate when I know that Satan is getting the best of me. I don’t know if it is the heat, but I seem to be more tired than usual. I guess having West, our great-nephew, last week may have something to do with it. As I mentioned yesterday I am helping with our Kids Kamp at church. It is so much fun and warms my heart to see all the kids having such a good time learning about Jesus and begin understanding the Bible. We also have our 8-year-old great nephew spending the week with us and attending the Kamp. We are so blessed to have him here. It is awesome not only to be with him but to also share Jesus with Him. …..
I will never understand how people run marathons or do the Ironman! How can they be that disciplined and strong? They must work so hard every day to get in shape and then to get even stronger and stronger with more rigorous exercise. As we start our day with all our comforts and luxuries it is so easy to take everything for granted. We slept in a comfortable bed kept cool by the air conditioner. We have a cup of coffee ready for us when we awake because we set the timer last night. We have a delicious breakfast and put the dishes in the dishwasher. What else could we possibly need? Maybe think of those less fortunate? We know there are millions…..
Happy Independence Day to you all. Praise God we live in this great country that was established as “one nation under God”! We take so much for granted. We are so blessed. God bless America. Thank God that our Founding Fathers acknowledged God in almost every document they produced. God has blessed America beyond our dreams. We are the land of the free and the home of the brave.
