We love our new church. It is a Bible church and they preach directly from the Word. They have very strong beliefs and They do seek to please God not men. We believe life is sacred.
One of the topics our Pastor spoke about on Sunday was Pro-Life Opportunities. He explained that he had three adopted children and was thankful for the choice their mother’s made.
He talked about the importance of educating adults and children about how God feels towards the sanctity of life. David tells us in Psalm 139:14-15:
13 For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works;
my soul knows it very well.
I love the verse that I am fearfully and wonderfully made. The fact that God knitted us together in our mother’s womb tells me that we are a child of God at conception.
I can’t imagine the heartbreaking decision facing young women. However, I do know that it is important for us to support them and let them know that they have choices. They also need to know that God is a merciful and forgiving Father.
As our pastor said, he has three adopted children. This is an opportunity for us to get involved. We need to pray for them to make the right decision and we also need to pray for our government to appoint leaders who believe in God and His Word and uphold this belief.
We have a new opportunity for God’s will to be done in our nation. Pray that God will once again intervene and lead us in the right direction. Prayer is a powerful tool. We just have to use it!
