I pray you had a glorious Easter weekend. We certainly did.
We started out with a Seder Meal on Thursday night. It was most interesting. We had it at our church and it was led by a Messianic Jewish Rabbi. He explained the Jewish Passover tradition so well. We truly enjoyed it. It is good to learn the beliefs of the Children of Israel.
On Friday night we went to a Good Friday service at our church. Our pastor portrayed Peter in a first person account of Jesus’ last night on earth as a man. Peter was crushed when he denied Christ three times. This was after he had promised to follow Him to His death. It was very moving.
On Saturday we went to see The Case for Christ. This is the story of Lee Strobel’s life and his attempt to prove that our faith couldn’t be real.
The movie was very thorough in Strobel’s fact-finding mission to show that it is impossible to prove that Christ died for us and that our faith matters.
If you have read the book or seen the movie you know that once he spent countless hours trying to disprove that God exists he could only come to the conclusion that it is true.
I can understand how people who try to “prove” our faith have a hard time. What you have to realize is that it is not proof that we need but have faith and believe.
I pray that you will examine your faith and know how blessed we are to believe. Our God is an awesome God. He loved us enough to sacrifice His Only Son so that we can spend Eternity with Him. He has risen! Praise God.
