Since you have been following my blog, you know that God called me to write Good Morning, God!  At first I thought I surely didn’t hear Him ask me to write a daily devotional.  I thought, “God, don’t you know that Max Lucado, Beth Moore, Charles Stanley, Billy Graham and many others have written a daily devotional?”  He assured me that was just what He wanted me to do.

I thought, “Okay, this won’t be hard.  I’ll just use the scriptures I have highlighted in my Bible.”  But, then I ran out of scriptures and I had to start searching for more.

Then I had to pray over each one and ask the Lord what He wanted people to hear as they read each day.  It was the greatest joy of my life.  I got to spend so much time with the Lord and in His Word.  I felt the Holy Spirit prompting me what to write.  It was exhilarating.

Then He gave me further instructions to go out and get His book in the hands of people who needed it. Jesus tells us in Luke 8:16:

“No one lights a lamp and hides it in a jar or puts it under a bed.  Instead, he puts it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light.”

So, I began doing inspirational speaking and telling everyone about His book.  It has been an awesome experience.  I love talking about our Great God.

God Called Me, Is He Calling You?

If I hadn’t responded to God’s call, I would have missed one of the greatest blessings of my life.  When you feel a twinge as if God is calling, listen and respond.  God calls us to serve Him.  Let Him guide you and you will be richly blessed.
