God is continually working in our lives whether we realize it or not. God has a plan and will orchestrate our lives to fulfill that plan.
When Jesus was born and the Three Wise Men went to Herod asking where they could find the King of the Jews, Herod became enraged. We know the tragic story that he had all the boys under the age of two killed so that this “King” could not overtake him.
Matthew 2:13 tells us: When they had gone [the Wise Men], an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up,” he said, “take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.”
Joseph obeyed God and Jesus was saved. However, God was still orchestrating their lives because they stayed in Egypt until Herod died and then returned to their home. This was to fulfill the scriptures where the Lord had said through the prophet: “Out of Egypt I called my son.” (Matthew 2:15)
Now Joseph was a carpenter and not a rich man. Do you think that the gold that the Wise Men brought could have made their trip to Egypt possible? God used these three Wise Men in a way they never imagined nor did Mary and Joseph.
We need to always remember that God is in control and He has our best interest in His heart. He is continually working all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28) Trust Him. Let Him work His plan in your life. His plan is much better than anything we can imagine. Give your life to Him and see the wondrous things He will do for you and through you. Praise God!
