What a fabulous time we have had in Costa Rica. I hope you have enjoyed me writing about it. There is just no way I can describe it. You will have to plan a trip down here. Let me know and maybe we’ll join you.
We are, however, on our way home today. Even though we have had such a great time, we are anxious to get home to our house and our bed!
We actually came to Costa Rica to look for a place to retire. We have seen so many beautiful homes and beautiful views. The people are so gracious here. The cost of living is much less and there are so many great benefits. They call it The Pura Vida – the pure life. And, it certainly lives up to its name.
After all our searching, we have decided there is no place like home. We won’t be moving here after all. It has been wonderful but we miss our life in Bellaire and all our friends and church.
I think this is how we sometimes feel about our worldly life. This is not our true home. Jesus tells us in John 14:2 “My Father’s house has many mansions; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.”
Chris Tomlin has a song about going home where the streets are golden; every chain is broken. Oh, I want to go Home. We have come to realize that in no matter what kind of Paradise you find yourself, the true Paradise is with our Lord and Savior.
Praise God that He has gone to prepare a place for us. Be sure that no matter your circumstances in this world He will take you home to His Paradise.
