What a glorious three weeks we had in Costa Rica. It is the most beautiful, lush country filled with lovely, gracious people. We are so thankful that we got to go on this adventure and we are so thankful to be home.
It is good to step aside in your life and looks at things from outside your normal routine. That is what we were able to do. In an entirely different country you see things in a completely different light. It forces you to put things in perspective.
We have been praying about this decision for over a year. We asked God to give us wisdom and discernment and guide our path in the direction He would have us go. We asked that His answer would be so clear that we had no question about where He was leading us.
We were really in a quandary when we first arrived because we knew this was going to be one of the most important decisions we would ever make. Should we really move to Costa Rica?
Thank God He answered our prayers for clarity. He made it completely clear that this wasn’t the life for us. I am so thankful that we will be here with all of you serving Him however He calls us.
When you have a life-changing decision to make or even something small, turn it over to the Lord. Jesus tells us in Luke 11:19 – “So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”
One of the things I am most thankful for is that I am a child of the Most High God. He has called me by name and He has told me that He wants me to serve Him right here (for now at least).
