I love rainy days. I even love to hear the rolling thunder. When Dennis and I attended Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, I had never heard thunder like that. The thunder is different in the piney forests. It seemed it would never end but it was a beautiful sound.
This makes me think of the song, How Great Thou Art and how it speaks of the rolling thunder that only our Great God can create. All creation is filled with His Glory.
If you remember when the Disciple John was called up to heaven to write The Revelation when he saw Jesus in His Glory, he fell down as if dead. John had spent three years walking with Jesus every day. They ate together, ministered together, prayed together and traveled together. John knew Jesus as well as anyone. He was the disciple whom Jesus loved.
And yet, when John saw Jesus in His glory he was overcome with wonder. Jesus is so much more than we can comprehend. He is Almighty God. When I think of God’s glory I am amazed. I can’t wait to see Him in His glory in heaven. What a glorious time that will be.
Every time I think of my loved ones in Heaven my heart is filled with joy. Can you imagine being with Jesus every day throughout all eternity? What an awesome plan our God has for us.
Go out today and enjoy every minute knowing that the Lord is with you. He lives inside you. Give Him the glory. One day we will see him in all His glory and cast our crowns at His feet.
If you haven’t read The Revelation recently you may want to do so. It can get sort of scary, but we know how it ends!
