I don’t know if it is the heat, but I seem to be more tired than usual. I guess having West, our great-nephew, last week may have something to do with it. I’m not accustomed to keeping up with and eight year-old boy. (Oh, excuse me, he’s 8 ½.) I have a new respect for young mothers. God bless you.
I’ve never answered so many questions. It was really awesome. We were at Kids Kamp and he was learning about prayer and about who God is. He told me that the Bible says that God made the earth but it doesn’t say when He made gravity. He really asked some heavy questions but he trusted everything I responded to them. Oh, how sweet the faith of a child!
They don’t try to figure everything out scientifically; they don’t question the scripture; they don’t worry about tomorrow. They listen and absorb so much more than we realize. It warmed my heart to see him growing in the Lord. How wonderful it is that our Great God loves and cares for them in such a manner.
In Matthew 19:14 Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
If we could just have that kind of faith and not question God. Jesus says that we must be like little children to receive His Kingdom. We don’t need proof, we need faith.
I pray that we can all study God’s Word to the point that we are completely secure in our faith. I pray that we can know He is the God of the universe and He loves us unconditionally – just as you love your children.
I hope you will spend more time in the Word this week and learn just how much God loves you. I pray your faith is increased exponentially.
